Software Engineer - Routing

We are seeking a smart, highly-capable software engineer to help us develop next-generation airborne IP data networks.

Requirements for the position include:

  • BS or MS in software engineering or computer science and 5+years experience
  • Hands-on experience developing and integrating network software
  • Deep knowledge of Linux and TCP/IP networking. Experience with dynamic routing and load balancing preferred.
  • Experience with advanced networking architectures including VLAN’s, routing, SNMP, caching and peering servers, and network security.
  • Experience working with enterprise network router hardware a plus.
  • Experience with C/C++ and Python required.
  • Experience with revision control systems (git), issue tracking (redmine) and linux package management (deb/apt) required
  • Good written and verbal communications skills.
  • Familiarity with aviation and high reliability systems a plus
  • Startup experience is also a major plus

Salary for this position, starting at $110k, strongly based on experience and education. Compensation package includes equity and health insurance.

Drone Technician

GreenSight Agronomics is a startup based in Boston developing a drone service to help golf courses efficiently manage their turf by imaging their course and analyzing the imagery. We are growing rapidly, and looking for a drone enthusiast to join our team.

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Test fly drones in the field
  • Monitor remote-flying drones from our office
  • Participate in servicing and assembly of drones and ground support equipment

Education and/or Experience

  • 2 or 4 Year degree preferred
  • Experience with drones, either as a hobby or professionally
  • Experience as an RC aircraft pilot (plane, helicopters and/or multicopters)
  • Experience with hand tools and measurement instruments
  • Experience building and servicing drones and/or RC aircraft
  • Prior military experience preferred
  • Candidate must have or be able to earn an RPIC license from the FAA. Candidates without current RPIC must be prepared to study intensively and pass the exam within 2 weeks of starting.

Position pays $40,000 - $55,000 depending on experience and RPIC license. 

Electrical Systems Engineer

We are seeking a smart, highly-capable Electrical Systems Engineer to lead the development of electronic systems. You will work closely with our leadership and tech team on next generation hardware for our drones, ground systems, and next generation products. You should be comfortable with small, semi-autonomous teams tackling appropriately scoped projects, defining and meeting project goals without extensive supervision. We prefer a candidate in either the Boston or San Francisco area, but are open to hiring telecommuters with outstanding technical skills.

Requirements for the position include:

  • BS or MS in electrical engineering and 6+years experience
  • Some experience designing RF PCB’s
  • Experience testing and evaluating hardware performance using RF test equipment
  • Design and analysis of basic software radio systems
  • Good written and verbal communications skills.
  • Experience with small project management is a major plus

Salary for this position, starting at $100k, is strongly based on experience and education. Compensation package includes equity and benefits.

Embedded Software Engineer

We are seeking a smart, highly-capable engineer to lead the development of software for our drones and other component systems. You scope, plan, and execute embedded systems development and implementation across GreenSight’s technology portfolio including drones, ground systems, cameras, and electronics. You should be comfortable working semi-autonomously while meeting long-term goals. We prefer a candidate in either the Boston or San Francisco area, but are open to hiring telecommuters with outstanding technical skills.

Requirements for the position include:

  • BS or MS in electrical or software engineering or computer science and 3+ years experience
  • Experience developing with DSP’s, including porting from high level block diagrams to detailed implementation
  • Experience developing software on embedded Linux platforms like Raspberry Pi
  • Experience developing software to parse and generate protocol packets to an exacting specification is a plus
  • Good written and verbal communications skills
  • Experience with software radio is a major plus

Aerospace Engineer

We are seeking a smart, hard-working Aerospace Engineer to participate in the design, development, and production of our quadcopter drones. You will work closely with our CEO and tech team on next generation hardware for our drones and ground systems, including designing and developing our fully automated drone landing and recharging system. You should be comfortable with quadcopters and their associated hardware, and very enthusiastic about drone technology.  Position is in the San Francisco area.

Requirements for the position include:

  • BS or MS in aerospace or mechanical engineering and 2+years experience with small drones
  • Experience designing and assembling mechanical parts and assemblies.  Specific experience with Solidworks is a plus.
  • Experience testing and flying small drones.
  • Good written and verbal communications skills.
  • Startup experience is a plus

Salary for this position will rise substantially with experience and degree, but begins at $70,000/year. Compensation package includes substantial equity and health insurance.
